12:12 am - Emerald Chocolate Adonis

I've managed to convince sarah that Phil Lynnot is in fact super sexy and every time i show her a picture of him she does this weirdly erotic thing with her tongue.

So heres my question to you-
WOULD YOU DO HIM????

11:37 pm - The Laughing Clowns

Sar and i caught what was quite possibly the last ever gig by THE LAUGHING CLOWNS at the basement a few weeks back and i just wanted to say they kicked ass.
Unique sound,stellar musicians,great songs.(especially 'The Collapse Board')
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3TKsUS3ygg

Having seem em only once before at the ATP festival it was great to watch em in an intimate setting..and i think Ed is gonna make a sweet replacement for Mick in The Bad Seeds though on the night i honestly feel he was a little overshadowed by the rest of the band who were on fucking fire!

..Oh-and thanks to everyone who put on the 'Deep in the Woods' nite at the taxi club on the weekend-we had a fantastic time. Some of the best music i've heard at a club since the 90's. Seriously..Sexgang,Cure,Bauhuas,Ausgang,Birthday Party .Mmmmmmmmm thats good club.Making a dick of yourself on the dancefloor with a bellyfull of liquor is always a treat with a soundtrack like that.

Groove on groovers...

6:49 pm - Fantastic Planet

Did anyone catch this French Sci-Fi from 1973 the other night on TVS?
It was spectacular! I stumbled upon it by mistake and was immedietly struck by its unique stylised storybook visuals and the amazing trippy prog-tastic soundtrack...I was virtually hypnotised as its surreal detached narrative unfolded and drawn in bythe philosophical themes that permeated the story...not to mention creeped out by the fantastic otherworldy bestiary.
Simply put...i've never seen anything like it...
You really should check it out-they certainly dont make em like this anymore.

4:00 pm - Russell Bland
Maybe it was the lack of serotonin left in my system after an awesome saturday/sunday sprawl but tuesday nights russell brand show at the enmore was a bit...crap.
Perhaps i'd have enjoyed it more if i was one of the hordes of hormonal women squealing like retarded monkeys at his every gesticulation?
Maybe if he hadnt spent 50% of the show talking about how famous and great he is and the last 3rd of it 'grooming the pussy' that was in obvious abundance in the audience.
He IS a great raconteur with the occassional wilde-esque turn of phrase but he had about 3 minutes worth of actual material all night.
And $80 a ticket?
For shame!
Mebbe i shoulda bought steve coogan tickets instead (was recently shown  both series of 'saxondale'- who is a mystical unicorn of comedic genius).
Also-anyone see mogwai last week?

Yeah its been awhile...but i'm still alive n kickin. New Haus is being furnished nicely and i'm takin each day as it comes.
I just wanted to post a brief little snippet bout the ALL TOMMORROWS PARTIES festival...
It was fucking awesome.
Some of the highlights were seeing 'the stabs' for the first time, seeing mick harvey on drums during Rowland S Howards set and his last EVER set with the bad seeds (who were incendiary and incredible-the heaviest set i've ever seen em play). The laughing clowns were spectacular and The Saints blew my mind-somehwere along the line Chris Bailey really learned how to sing!!! But the highlight of the day had to be these crazy bitches

AFRIRAMPO!!!!
SO much fun! Even sar liked em. Two of the most charismatic and energetic performers i've EVER seen. Cant wait for em to come back to australia.
So...all in all, despitethe insane heat and the $7.50 lukewarm beers a good time was had by all.
No Dickheads,No queue for the (clean) toilets and the best selection of acts i've evr encountered at any festival (they were even playing the cure and godspeed! over the PA) ...
Roll on next year, lets hope the curators are of a similar pedigree.

12:13 pm - Discordian Christmas
Whilst decorating the tree last night i dsicovered that my family had randomly aquired an xmas trinket in the form of a delightfully sparkly GOLDEN APPLE. They were a bit perplexed by my erisian references but quite content to let me place it on the centre top branch :)
